All paintings are framed and we have included an image of the Windham, Vermont painting with the frame. I have known Stephan and admired his work for years. But it was only very recently that we had the good fortune to be able to display his paintings in our Grafton gallery and here on our website. Descended from a wealthy Russian family (“White” Russians) forced to flee their homeland in 1918 with nothing, they settled in America. Living in mid coast Maine, Stephan’s paintings are primarily of coastal Maine and Vermont, bright, uplifting images that beautifully depict the New England landscape in all it’s variety. We are delighted to be able to offer his wonderful paintings.
